    Prologue - A Strange E-mail - Vardek [Old Format] Empty Prologue - A Strange E-mail - Vardek [Old Format]

    Post by Greenknight1294 Mon Feb 01, 2016 3:08 pm

[1/15/2016 10:13:56 AM] It'd be around evening, leaning toward nine pm or something along those lines, and if she really thought about it Saturday, maybe sunday? No...it had to be Saturday, or was that just what the hope was? This brief moment of deep thought leaving the girl sat cross legged in a rather large sleeveless shirt and little more than underwear atop a chair confused. The room completely dark save for the light of the screen shimmering against the long blue locks hanging from her head, somewhat hiding the very bored expression beneath as she browsed a couple videos of whatever, sometimes music, sometimes leaning toward whatever came up in the suggestions.
[1/15/2016 10:16:54 AM] A few minutes into the usual day-long session of watching videos and browsing shit the girl's navi would receive a new email that somehow wasn't classified as email with a corrupted, unreadable title. Navis are always supposed to alert their users when that happens, unless they're set to silence, or the popular "STFU" option.
[1/15/2016 10:26:06 AM] The day long sessions had increased as of late, for some reason nobody really wanted to go outside anymore, and she really had been wondering why. The alert roused her from her state of zombie like motion however, and she paused the video to shut the speakers up as her hand lazily picked the thing up and looked at the title, the curiosity fading some as it turned out to look more like a spam email or something, and so, she tried to get rid of it.
[1/15/2016 10:30:36 AM] Somehow, when she went to click the email it displayed a glitched title box and had her accidentally open it, which revealed nothing but a link to some weird legit looking webpage. However a minute after closing it and sending it to her spam folder in rage, Vardek's anti-virus alert would show up coming from her desktop computer.
[1/15/2016 10:33:48 AM] She turned her head to the side and formed a quick and clear frown of annoyance before hurling the portable device across the room and into the wall. She huffed out a curse to the world and decided to click the anti virus since it had started going off "Piece of crap can't even..."
[1/15/2016 10:35:08 AM] Much to her dismay Vardek would have to end up explaining her that he's the only hope she has of finding out what's going on in her computer as the screen went unresponsive and the anti-virus program therefore is nowhere to be seen, but he is in fact hurled across the room, so...
[1/15/2016 10:38:14 AM] "Shut it!" He'd soon hear yelled at him as she pressed about every button in the known world to try and fix it, soon enough just hammering a larger key with her index finger for a soiled 15 seconds "FF..." She held the word back, not wanting to get yelled at, and soon enough sighed loudly before standing and dropping her arms, looking to be in quite the temper by the time she'd found Vardek again and brought him toward the machine "Okay genius, come on."
[1/15/2016 10:40:59 AM] It would take something short of a genius to figure out that the navi couldn't do jack shit if she didn't get to connect the cable to her computer. By then, a couple of minutes had passed already and the computer was still frozen, so who knows what was going on in there.
[1/15/2016 10:45:59 AM] A little while of trying to keep the navi shut she manages to send him into the computer, soon materializing inside a virtual environment comprised of walls, falls and a whole 3D area repressenting most parts of the computer in a complex maze. The first one accessible to her had all the main programs and functions, which seemed to be all intact at a first glance. The image of what Vardek was seeing upon appearing was displaying now on his PET instead of himself, and they could both talk to each other despite the distance. Eventually, the place looked pretty empty as he explored, none of the AI programs, which are commonly repressented as faceless robots that the navis can interact to like the users can from the outside, were in their respective places, almost like a ghost town. However, there was a clear trace of damage that led to the one of the less accessible areas of the computer following one of the paths into the deeper maze.
[1/15/2016 10:53:26 AM] "Oh that's just great..." She muttered to herself as she saw all of this unfurl before her eyes, it looked like her computer was completely and utterly fucked in her own mental wording. "Alright, well, may as well check that out..." A sigh following "Into the breach Vardy." A faint smirk following as the Navi began to move as followed into the unknown.
[1/15/2016 10:56:17 AM] After reaching the place she'd likely never been at even with the very limited curiosity of her navi, she'd spot in the distance a group of robots being led around by what seemed like two viruses, a monstrous appearance of a disembodied head with a menacing shape followed by two fireballs at each side. One of them was leading the group and the other was shadow boxing behind it. "Keep moving, scum. We need to take over before the dumb user realizes." the one in front said.
[1/15/2016 11:02:20 AM] She'd rather quickly scowl at the insult from a virus, and soon set in in her mind that the virus was going to die a horrible death, she'd like to charge, but best saved for later she thought before commanding the Navi to move toward them, not trying to be quiet either, an unofficial charge even as her boredom only now started to lift.
[1/15/2016 11:04:51 AM] "Oh fuck, it's here already. Keep moving, scum, we'll take care of it." the virus said, taking a step besides what seemed to be his brother with the same appearance, both taking some distance from each other to make sure the navi couldn't target them both, just waiting for the navi to be in range from the looks of it. The programs on the other hand moved to the sides to take cover.
[1/15/2016 11:07:56 AM] Her and her Navi weren't much for tactical genius, and the moment she'd find him to be a bit over close enough to charge and probably hit something, she'd tell him to do just that, brace an attack and rhino toward the one who had been speaking in a blaze of motion and noise. Of course, there was complete faith in the matter, why would he mess up now?
[1/15/2016 11:10:17 AM | Edited 11:10:15 AM] The viruses were surprised as they themselves were about to charge when the navi was covered in an energy field, chasing menacingly after the first virus. Sadly, like an idiot, he took the blow head on as he was starting to move foward, looking like he got run by a truck until its body was torn to shreds.
[1/15/2016 11:11:27 AM] The brother wanted to facepalm so much, but he'd end up burning his forehead. As soon as the navi was done with his attack, he started moving ahead at decent speed, enough to let Vardek react.
[1/15/2016 11:17:15 AM] She'd then tell him to fire the Cannon (Using Cannon) Point blank at the other Virus, and aim to follow up with another basic attack if he went to dodge out of the way or the like, her tactic quite quickly being revealed to be a worrying amount of aggression over actual defense and planning.
[1/15/2016 11:19:20 AM | Edited 11:19:31 AM] The virus was slowly turning to its side and dashed out of the way as he noticed the navi trying to shoot him, its speed being ridiculously fast, about as much as the charge he did earlier, which left the virus a bit further away near a wall, turning back to Vardek. The virus was however out of his range of basic attack by far.
[1/15/2016 11:22:12 AM] The woman behind the Navi was now in quite a good mood, and her following command was 'Fuck him up' over something of actual tact, however, by now Vardek was more than used to these sorts of orders and would quickly aim to pursue the thing. She took note of how quick it was, and though back to a show she'd been watching on the matter, soon telling him to attack, and leave himself open as a ploy to lure it in.
[1/15/2016 11:26:08 AM] As the virus noticed the heavy looking, slow navi running towards, it dashed at the incredible speed of earlier, perhaps faster towards him as in Vardek's eyes it almost disappeared from view, in just a matter of seconds right in Vardex's face before he was able to react to it while running himself, his lack of tactical prowess leaving him vulnerable to the thing as it suddenly swung one of its fire fists into Vardek, leaving him no other option but a failed parry of the attack, the ball of fire sinking deep into his armor and throwing him off balance for a moment, giving the virus enough time to dash his way back.
[1/15/2016 11:29:06 AM] She furrowed her brow now, glaring at the other, considerably quicker thing she'd engaged in battle with, wondering how to go about killing something just this fast. She had a hope, perhaps it was so fast that it couldn't stop it's own momentum, promptly telling Vardek to begin his basic attack the moment he saw the thing moving toward him, another pleasant surprise she thought.
[1/15/2016 11:31:12 AM] The virus seemed to have a surge of confidence and went for the attack again as he saw the navi not doing anything after regaining his balance, dashing at the near teleporting speed right into his face and sending one of his fists flying, giving the prepared Vardek enough of an opportunity to counter the attack, which resulted in the energy axe slicing through the virus with a gruesome explosion of data gore as he'd yell some words censored by the PG13 restriction.

A timeskip was agreed after this point, however there's no record of the later adventure.

Just a quick message, even though it's just a log of a messenger rp! Reading the past rps to follow what is going on in the story and have a comment on this post and I guess the logs themselfs.

It is very hard to follow who was talking and who was who, more so when they go "He" or "She" when it is lost who was messaging what. I know the format has switched to messenger, but for future logs or if someone can fix the post so we know who is who it'll be greatly helpful for future references.

On the flip side, thanks for uploading this for others to read and for history! Very Happy

The old logs were ripped directly from Skype conversations and I wanted to keep the names anonymous. These posts weren't meant for reference to everyone, but for the participants of that certain rp. However, feel free to ask if you have any questions.

On another note, it would be nice to see you on Skype when you're available, Rinna, as I'm planning a bit of a plot device to include more characters into another thread, including yours.
